History

The very first Éigse Spiorad Cheilteach was held on the 14th August 2010 in Newtownmountkennedy, Co-Wicklow. It was set up as a standalone, one day outdoor event for Ireland's Druidic community and for those interested in Celtic spirituality.  It has grown from strength to strength since it was first founded and is now in its tenth year as 2 years were skipped due to COVID.

Over the years, Éigse has featured speakers and workshop leaders from around Ireland and the UK and from multiple traditions connected with Irish and Celtic spirituality and has been a fantastic resource for members of our lovely community to meet, socialise with and learn from other members within it and beyond.

Éígse was founded by Luke Eastwood in 2010. He was the main organiser, with support from Anna Coote for the first two years after which time they continued to co-organise the event together until 2016.

Since 2016 Éigse has been co-organised by Anna, Eimear, and Paul aka 'The Dream Team'!

It has now been moved to Clara in the Heart of Ireland in an effort to make it more easily accessible to all members of our community and has also been extended to a full weekend with accommodation and catering running from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.
